Is Our Election Process the Fair?

Election is a formal decision-making process, where the communities choose individual to be their public figure and lead them wisely. It is as a tool for selecting representatives in modern period.  As we know, election is very important to be deal with. Election is the moment where we can take and put our rightful authority. It’s a main characteristic of democratic organization.  So, is our election process the fair?  Let’s go to the next explanation.

There are some infirmities on election, sometimes it’s not fair and here are the unfair parts; Voters are prevented from voting their real choice. They can't vote against one choice without voting for another choice. Nobody can vote against all choices and have the vote count. Voters can't vote that they prefer both of two very similar choices. Most of the time, voters are forced to vote against the best choice to prevent the worst choice from winning. That’s way there is a mathematical error in the election process mostly. Election also might cause social conflict between group and group. The candidates can do everything to be the winner on the election. They can kill their rivals with any ways and finally bad competition might be occur.

And now, the fair things about election are;  Election is a form of people’s aspiration, because when people choose their public figure to lead them, so the people trust that one person to accommodate the people’s want and hopes. There’s  no favoritism here. Not only those who have high class stratum that can choose, but also small communities even for those who live in back country. Election brings advantages. Election guide to decide the one who can deserve to make a big change for a better condition, it’s has 6 characteristic, those are; directly, general, free, secret, honest and fair. It’s indirectly teaches us to be wisely. Voters also must be able to vote their real preferences without penalty. The bias against similar platforms must be removed. Plurality Voting ("VOTE FOR ONLY ONE") must be abolished permanently. Voters must be able to have a say on each candidate, independently of the say they have on the other candidates. Plurality Voting is not an independent process; it is a disjoint (mutually exclusive) process. It is guaranteed to have interaction problems.

So, it’s true that election process the fair in the end. The things that we need to consider is, how we can make the process balance, clear and create health competition to the fair result.
