Is Homework Helpful or Harmful?

     Homework is always be a responsibility for students to be finished. For teacher, give students homework is one of so many ways to prove whether the students understands or not with the topic they have learned. In the other side, teachers also cannot deny that students will always do complain anyway when they get homework, because for some students homework will be disturb their time to have enjoyable.

      According to me, homework is very helpful, Why? main purposes of homework are to build rote memorization and automaticity, to provide time to deepen understanding though elaboration and to increase readiness for new information. Homework is supporting point to rise up our bad score. Of course homework also have the importance side, because it is at the intersection between home and school. It serves as a window through which you can deserve your education and express positive attitudes towards your education. Homework also teach us about self discipline and time management. For me personally, did the homework bring pride in myself. When I have finished all of my homework, I feel relieved because I can solve the problem without any helps from my friends and teachers.

     So what the disadvantages by not doing homework? Well, of course so many answers that you will get. Just like got the punishment from teacher, no preparation to face the daily exam, just get the information from teacher without another source. So at the end, we know that homework is important and absolutely needed by students. So, we don’t need to feel like we are under pressure by the homework.

     But school also have to take attention with the children’s condition, school can’t give homework easily, because students also need time to take a rest and having their enjoyable time to be relax.
